Post-mortem

Summary:

On 29th July 2025, a subset of customers experienced slowness in integrations within the PRODUCTION - North Europe environment. After investigation, we identified that the issue was related to a disruption in a component of our infrastructure. Specifically, a known issue within the storage layer, combined with a suboptimal configuration in the event streaming service, led to the slowness. To resolve the issue, our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team refreshed and reset the affected systems. Normal service has now been restored, and everything is functioning as expected.

Customer Impact:

A subset of customers experienced delays in integrations, resulting in slower processing times.

Root Cause:

The issue was caused by a disruption in the storage layer, which, when combined with a suboptimal configuration in the event streaming service, impacted integrations and slowed down data processing.

Remediations:

The affected systems were refreshed and reset by the SRE team, which restored normal service and resolved the integration delays.

Future Mitigating Actions:

We will implement proactive system updates and enhance monitoring to prevent similar issues in the future.
Additionally, we are planning a proactive refresh of some long-running components within the environment to prevent similar issues from occurring in the future.
